EXPRESS ENTRY SCORE REDUCED
The last year has seen an incredible reduction of the CRS minimum score at almost 100 points. This means the random candidate has higher chances of being selected for PR application.
Federal immigration program Express Entry is designed to select candidates based on age, education, work experience, language proficiency and other criteria.
Nationals of 32 participating states are now able to apply to the International Experience Canada Program in order to come and work in Canada for Working Holiday, International Co-op Internship and as Young Professionals.
Participants in this program can receive an open work permit, valid for one to two years. Open work permits allow participants to work anywhere in Canada for almost any Canadian employer. Nationals of some countries may be allowed to stay in Canada for more or less than one year.
This is a unique opportunity for young professionals and graduates to enhance their career and get invaluable international experience.

Under Express Entry, candidates who meet the criteria are accepted into a pool of possible candidates for immigration to Canada.
Later, candidates ranked against others in the pool using a point-based system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Citizenship and Immigration Canada regularly selects the highest-ranking candidates from the pool by inviting them to apply to immigrate to Canada as permanent residents.

If Immigration Minister gets his way, Canada will significantly increase immigration beyond its current record level as a way to fill the country’s labour needs.
Pointing to an aging population and looming labour shortages, McCallum made the pitch in Manila during a speech to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines on Friday. “So why not substantially increase the number of immigrants coming to Canada? And that is, I think, I hope, what we are about to do,” McCallum said.
